Got a 5th Grader? We have a lot of stuff coming up that you need to know!
 
1) Promotion Ceremony: Tuesday, June 4th at 9:00 am
Parents and other special guests should arrive at 8:45 am to grab a seat and get settled in before the ceremony. Please don't bring signs or balloons that will block the view of others. The promotion ceremony will be held on the blacktop at LCM and will last till about 10:30.
 
2) Promotion Party: Tuesday, June 4th at 12:30 pm
5th Grade parents will be hosting a party for the 5th graders on the lower field in the afternoon with pizza, drinks, games and more! We are asking for a $30 donation for each student to cover shirts, food and activities. If you haven't made your donation yet please click here.

3) Promotion Party: What to Bring
After the ceremony on Tuesday, students will have a promotion party on the field. Students should bring their blue LCM shirts (from the middle school field trip day) with them to school and change into it after the promotion ceremony, along with shorts and running shoes so they can play on the lower fields and possibly get a little wet.
  • Water bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • Towel or blanket to sit on
  • Blue LCM 5th Grade Shirt (change after promotion)
  • Tennis shoes that you don't mind getting wet
  • Optional: Any small board game or cards you might want to play with your friends
  • Optional: Favorite snacks or candy for sharing with your classmates (like they do at gold rush). We will have pizza, chips, cookies, and drinks but I know kids LOVE bringing their favorite things to share. 
 
4) 5th Grade Clap-Out: Wednesday, June 5th at 12:45 pm
Last day of school and last day of elementary school! School dismissal is at 12:55 pm on the last day of school, and parents have the option to participate in the 5th Grade clap-out by lining up at the front gate of the school at 12:45. Plan on extra time for parking and gathering.

Join us on campus on the last Friday of every month at 8:45 am for our all-school assembly to learn about the latest happenings at LCM. We’ll also have our coffee cart available with healthy breakfast options and coffee for parents to purchase! 

 

You can also donate a Birthday Book for your child's birthday month and they will be called up at Flag Salute.

If you volunteer in your child's classroom, that's also a great place to take pictures and share with us. There's nothing tastier than a treat after a hard week! Our Popsicle Fridays are held on 16 Fridays throughout the year, and when you purchase your Popsicle Pass your child will get a popsicle at each date. Make sure to purchase your child's Popsicle Pass on our Wave Fund page to take part in Popsicle Fridays!
 
We'll provide your child with a popsicle luggage tag to hang on their backpack. If it happens to break, get lost, or not deliver in time for Popsicle Friday, your child can still get their popsicle! We have a Master List we can check on the day-of. So no worries! And we'll replace the luggage tag if needed no problem. Email lcmptovp@gmail.com.
